Your next stop will be Windsor Castle, a royal residence that embodies almost a thousand years of historical architecture. The original castle was built after the Norman invasion in the tenth century as a strategic part of the River Thames. The castle has been modified over the years and in recent history has been used for state vists. The Castle was the main residence of Queen Elizabeth II in the closing decade of her reign.

Our experienced drivers will help you tailor your day to get the most from your Windsor Castle, Stonehenge & Bath Tour, find you a great place for afternoon tea or the best shop for souvenirs. Travel in air-conditioned, chauffeur-driven comfort through the beautiful English countryside. We can pick you up from your hotel, the airport or port.
You start your tour with a stop off at Eton—home town of the renowned school with the same name. Famous Etonians include Prince William, Boris Johnson, George Orwell and Hugh Laurie.
For lunch, how about a traditional English pub experience? We'll take you to a charming country spot where you can tuck into a delicious meal and sample a couple of real ales. We're the experts on finding the perfect pub for a relaxing lunch!
After lunch we'll take you to see Woodhenge where you'll see pillars marking the positions of Neolithic wooden posts which have long since rotted away. It's an important World Heritage Site and consists of six concentric ovals of standing posts, surrounded by a bank and ditch.
Stonehenge began as a burial area over 4500 years ago and has changed many times during this period, with stones being added and the site being reformed several times. Part of the changes made to the site were the addition of the bluestones. These stones, which were mined in Wales, were dragged to Stonehenge using the limited technologies of the era. This would have taken a large number of people and tremendous organisation.
Dive deeper into the secrets of Stonehenge at the fantastic Visitor Centre right there! Explore world-class exhibitions and multimedia displays that bring the monument's story to life. Step outside and journey back in time at the reconstructed Neolithic houses. On lucky days, you might even catch demonstrations of ancient crafts and bread-making, all done using prehistoric techniques!
Then we take you through the beautiful English countryside to the Roman city of Bath. Here you can wonder at the splendour of the Georgian Royal Crescent consisting of 30 pristine town houses built between 1767 and 1775. Then step back in time a further 1,700 years or so with a visit to the Roman Baths—a well preserved thermae built around the site of a temple when the town was known as Aquae Sulis. Find out more about the baths in the on-site museum. Then after a fun and fact-filled day, it's back to base.
†Please note that Windsor Castle is not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
