Due to its location on a UNESCO World Heritage site, The Red Lion is a short stint away from many interesting landmarks, including the prehistoric Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow. And of course it’s surrounded by beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
The building dates to the early seventeenth century and until 1802 was a farmhouse. After that the premises acquired a licence and became a coaching inn. The building’s thatched roof and timber framing make it a picturesque and popular feature of the village.
